Image Generation & Editing Models
Guide to Qwen Image, Seedream 4, Flux 2, Z-Image, and other VisioArt image workflows
Overview
VisioArt now includes a broader image stack alongside its video models. Current workbench routes cover prompt-only image generation, prompt-guided editing, multi-reference remixing, and stylized concept creation. Depending on the tool you choose, you may see Qwen Image, GPT-Image, Seedream 4, Gempix2 (Nano Banana Pro), Grok Imagine, Flux 2, Z-Image, and Midjourney.
Model Comparison
| Model | Primary Strength | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Qwen Image | Balanced generation and prompt-based editing | General-purpose stills, cleanup, outpainting |
| GPT-Image | Premium fidelity and composition control | Hero images, polished marketing stills, precise edits |
| Seedream 4 | Natural-language retouching and dreamy aesthetics | Fantasy stills, cover art, image edits |
| Gempix2 | Multi-reference remixing | Reference-heavy edits, character or product variations |
| Grok Imagine | Bold stylization and strong text rendering | Posters, memes, expressive marketing assets |
| Flux 2 | Rich detail and photoreal texture | Product mockups, detailed illustrations, photoreal scenes |
| Z-Image | Fast, low-cost ideation | Thumbnails, rough concepts, batch keyframes |
| Midjourney | Distinctive mood and concept exploration | Concept art, mood boards, stylized ideation |
Choosing the Right Route
- Start with Z-Image or Qwen Image when you want the fastest path to a usable keyframe.
- Use GPT-Image, Seedream 4, or Qwen Image for prompt-led editing, cleanup, outpainting, or composition changes.
- Choose Flux 2 when detail density, product realism, or texture quality matters most.
- Use Grok Imagine or Midjourney when you want a stronger stylized point of view.
- Use Gempix2 when the workflow depends on multiple reference images or remixing an existing still.
Integrating Images with Video Workflows
Image models on VisioArt complement the video generation pipeline in several ways:
- Reference frames — Generate a still image first, then use it as visual guidance when prompting a video model
- Storyboard creation — Produce a sequence of images to plan your video narrative before committing credits to video generation
- Thumbnail and cover art — Create polished thumbnails for your generated videos
- Style exploration — Test color palettes, compositions, and aesthetics in images before applying them to video prompts
Settings & Credits
Image-route pricing varies by model, workflow, and sometimes the presence of an uploaded reference image. Output resolution and aspect ratio can still be configured per generation, with support for standard formats including 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, and 9:16, plus wider still-image ratios in the editor routes. Use the live estimator to compare the current route before you submit.
Images as a Video Workflow Tool
Do not overlook image routes as part of your video creation process. Generating or editing a reference frame before creating a video helps you lock down visual style, composition, and color palette, reducing trial-and-error on the more expensive video paths.
